Coaching Development
Grouse Mtn Tyee Ski Club is commited to employing the best coaches available to us. We are also believe in helping our coaches improve their skills through our coach proffesional development program. In cooperation with BC Alpine and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation programs, Tyee will run sessions that will cover, but not limited to:
- Communication & leadership
- Adolescent growth & maturation
- Technical tactical skill development
- Psychological influences in coaching
- Preparation for competition
- Physical preparation
- Session, development period & seasonal planning
Coaches that take part and excell in this program will be eligible for further Tyee contributions to their official CSCF certification upgrades.
This program runs on select mornings, afternoons, evenings and days outside of the regular kids development programs. As opposed to the past seasons, it will not interfere with the start of the kids' programs in the mornings.
