Welcome new and returning members!

Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club consists of a large group of families that participate year round within a positive, fun, social network that supports our athletes, coaches and alpine skiing.

Because of the commitment and enthusiasm of our members, the Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club has grown to be the biggest club in BC as of 2008/09! Furthermore, with new leadership starting in 2007, we have significantly improved our programs and won the "Best Club Development" award for 2007/2008. It represents the significant steps taken to increase the quality of our programs and is presented by the BC Alpine Ski Association as their top annual award.  In 2009, we were nominated for Alpine Canada's Club of the Year Award.

By joining Tyee for the coming season(s), you are buying into a community club, one that is run by members, for members and their kids! Club mebership benefits include an opportunity to participate in all of Tyee's on- and off-snow social events, fundraising events, race organization, use of the Tyee cabin and of course eligibility for the Tyee ski development programs. Program fees are separate from the membership and vary by design and cost depending on age.

All member families are also eligible to apply for the Grouse Mtn family summer Skyride pass. Please contact Paul Wearmouth at finance@grousetyee.com if you wish to apply for the summer Skyride pass. Please note that all remaining passes are used in our sponsorship packages that make affordable programs possible.

The membership structure and fees have undergone a revision for 2010/2011:

-The club leadership identified a need for transparency in our fees, which resulted in separating the actual club membership fee from the insurance fees (aka BC Alpine membership). The ludicrous insurance industry imposes premium hikes almost every year, last time in 2008. Since these fees are per individual and have various categories, it only makes sense to separate them out to represent the composition of each member family. Please note that any member of a family that indends to take part in club activities needs to be an insured club member. This includes any parents that attend social activities, help at Grouse races or even hang out in the Tyee cabin for a cup of tea.

-The raffle fundraiser tickets are automatically added to your membership renewal or registration.  These tickets are a great opportunity for the kids to go out and raise funds to support their training.  The family keeps any proceeds from their raffle ticket sales.

-Although the core composition of our membership are families, we've introduced additional membership categories to reflect the demand.

-As we've moved to online registration and payment systems, the associated credit card payment fees are added on top of all actual membership fees, individual insurance costs and program fees. These will be added on when you register and proceed to payment.
