March 28th will be our annual Tyee Day. This has been a very fun event for many years running...The famous BBQ crew will be out making good food. This year will be a small change in format with timed race runs down the course. Parents and siblings are welcomed to join in. Awards will be given to the top 3 of each program group. This is a perfect opportunity for the parents to see if they are still faster than the kids. Don't be saddened when you realize this is not the case anymore!
Tyee Day is also when the racers report cards get handed out by the coaches. Also, we will be announcing NGSL and KStar program year end awards. For added value, the spring and summer ski and dryland plans will be released at Tyee Day.
The structure will be pretty relaxed...racers may go up with their families in the morning and check in at the cabin to see the program for the day. Meet your coach at the bottom at the usual time, and older racers load tram as usual on the weekend. If you would like to race, please be at the top of the Course by 9:00am to register and collect your bib. This will be a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE race. Online registration will not be necessary.
Please call the raceline on the evening before and morning of to hear if there are any last minute changes to plan, time or meeting place. Remember to check the raceline corresponding to the next year's program as all the kids are considered as graduated!
Looks to be a fun filled weekend so we hope to see everyone there!
Coaches, parents, and athletes, don’t forget to dress up in costumes. Last year we had some great costumes from parents, coaches and kids. Lets see if we can top last year's zany outfits.
Everyone finds their way back to the cabin by lunch time where the kitchen puts on a fabulous barbeque lunch for all. The coaches are off duty at this point so parents please plan to be on hand.
