K2 Provincials @ Big White - March 6-9, 2010
Friday Mar 5: Travel Day, half day training
Sat, Mar 6: 2 run GS
Sun, Mar 7: 2 run GS
Mon, Mar 8: 2 run Slalom
Tues, Mar 9: 2 run Slalom - Travel home.
This event is open to all K2 racers and a qualifying race for the Nationals @ Collingwood, Ontario, or the K2 Westerns in Revelstoke.
Transportation: Bus will leave from the North Van Superstore, Mtn Seymour Pkwy on March 5, 6:00 AM. GS skis and apparel should be ready as we will be training on hill when we arrive. Please pack a boxed breakfast/snack as there will be minimal stopping. Estimated arrival will be 12 noon. The bus will then depart on Tuesday, March 9 approx. 4 pm. Estimated time of arrival at the Super Store on Tuesday will be 10:00 PM. Please check the Tyee Raceline @ 604-983-8489 for the travel update. In addition to the bus we will have a Cargo Van and Trailer for all the extra gear!
Accommodations: Racers are staying at the "Chateau on the Ridge", we have 3 large units. The coaches will be staying at "Eagles".
Chaperones: We will require 3 chaperones, 1 for each unit. The chaperones will be responsible for preparing menus, shopping for food, cooking meals, preparing lunches for racers, coaches. Making sure the team is on task ie: out of bed on time, dryland, meals, homework, tuning and keeping their respective units clean. MJ Abbott, has stepped up once again, we require 2 ADDITIONAL CHAPERONES. If you have not done so already and are looking for a stimulating challenge please step up and volunteer!! Preferably 2 more male, but not necessary.

Food: Please let us know in advance if your child has food allergies or special needs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided, as well there is a banquet on the Monday evening the 8th.
Packing: Remember to label all gear, equipment and bags. GS and SL skis should be race ready. Shin guards, chin guards and slalom poles. Be prepared for all weather conditions. Please pack smart and think about the tight space on the bus.

With TEAM transportation: $700.00
With NO Transportation: $625.00

Schedule for Registration and Deadlines (observe earlybird and closing dates)
1. Early Bird rate is in effect for registration from February 11 - February 20, 2010
2. $100 additional charge for registrations from February 21 - February 27, 2010.
3. Final Race Registration closed after February 27, 2010.
School Planning: Please remember to communicate well in advance with the school and teachers to allow time for missed tests and projects etc.
Parents/Families of Registered Racers: will receive discounted tickets at the Race Office, as well the Grouse Reciprocal Pass is in effect. They will have a detailed list with Racers family names, be sure to check this when you arrive for the day.
