Tyee Day
Tyee Day will be scheduled for 1 day in March/April 2011.
This is an exciting day of fun, racing, activities, and great food!
The kids meet at the base at a designated time and start the day off with their coaches. Everyone, including parents, can dress up in costumes and raise some eyebrows on the slopes.
A race course is set up in front of the the Tyee cabin . Parents, don't pass up the opportunity to try it out and challenge your kids, another parent, or a coach, to a race. Keep in mind, the coaches have one speed when they get on a race course...........
Athletes eventually divide up in to groups which are comprised of NGSLs, MtnStars, KStars, K1s, and K2s and work through various challenges.
Everyone finds their way back to the cabin by lunch time where the kitchen puts on a fabulous barbeque lunch for all. Coaches are off-duty at this time - yeah for them! Good chance to thank them for a year well done!
