Membership Overview & Fees
Welcome new, prospective and returning members!
Grouse Tyee's motto is Great People, Great Racers.
We are an alpine ski club based on Grouse Mountain, minutes from Vancouver BC. We have about 150 member families who participate year-round within a fun, positive, and social network that supports our athletes, our coaches and alpine skiing.
Because of the commitment and enthusiasm of our members, Tyee has grown to be the biggest alpine ski club in BC. In 2009 we were Alpine Canada's "Club of the Year", and in 2008 and 2018 we won BC Alpine's "Best Club Development Award".
By joining Tyee for the coming season(s), you are buying into a parent-participation community club; one that is run by members, for members and their kids! Club membership benefits include an opportunity to participate in all of Tyee's on- and off-snow social events, race organization, use of the Tyee cabin on Grouse Mountain, and of course eligibility for the Tyee ski development Programs.
If you have not already done so, please be sure to read about:
- our Programs for kids aged 6-18
- the Volunteer Commitment required from each family
- our Code of Conduct, which all parents and athletes must agree to and sign
Members are responsible for buying their own equipment, clothing, and ski passes or lift tickets.
Grouse Mountain Resort, our home mountain and a Platinum Sponsor of the Club, very generously extends its Y2Play pass rates to our new members in the fall. Returning members should renew their Y2Play passes during the mountain's regular sale in the spring.
All member families are eligible to apply for the Grouse Mountain Family Summer Skyride pass. If you wish to apply, contact Sponsorship Committee at sponsorship@grousetyee.com or fundraising@grousetyee.com. Please request a summer pass only if you will use it: all remaining passes go into the sponsorship packages that make our programs more affordable. New and prospective members should note that their first possible summer pass would start at the end of their first ski season with the Club.
