How parents can support their athletes in sports

Here are some extra materials that hold a more in-depth description of what our contributions and focuses as female coaches are and could be. Essentially, I have selected a couple of online articles that I believe localize the main issues within female athlete development. This is the first article of recommended reading:

Article 1: Developing Life Skills Through Sports

My favourite part about this article is that it breaks down the benefits of involving children in sports throughout their development years. So on, Athletics go beyond learning physical skills, but teach children to control/channel their emotions positively.

Therefore, our athletes (no matter the age) accept challenges with a level of maturity; knowing that dealing with failures and disappointment is a factor in the process and/or discipline is associated (dependent on their actions).

Furthermore, the article concludes the roles that parents (or any authoritative figure) take in sports if they are beneficial to the child. It’s important to understand that our external demeanour and habits passively influence others, if that be process full or not.

In the end let kids be kids, and there’s a short clip in the end.
