Here are some extra materials that hold a more in-depth description of what our contributions and focuses as female coaches are and could be. What I find really interesting about this piece is how the article is a story written from a first person point of view. The piece starts with Dr. Hauck describing his life (very similarly to most of our lives) in sports going through the stages of physical maturity but from a male standpoint.
I really enjoyed the in-depth medical depictions of different hormones affecting our bodies and their functioning levels. As well as, describing certain illnesses or physical issues our bodies might go through when competing at a high level.
The article in general is medically based on human anatomy; detailing relatable sporting events affecting the body (at least in my years). Furthermore, covering all the factors of what, when, why, and how, then where to go.
