Silverstar was the second race of the season and the first opportunity for Team Travel since 2020! Being able to stay with teammates was exciting for all who chose the option, but the trip was fun for everyone overall. It was nice to have a change of scenery and to be able to compete provincially – thank you to Silverstar for welcoming us.

Most athletes travelled up on Tuesday. We then had free-ski training on Wednesday, where we lapped on the race run and shot video, and then we had races from Thursday to Sunday, with Thurs/Fri being GS, and Sat/Sun being SL. Grouse placed very well during these four days, with several top-ten and top-twenty finishers in men’s and women’s. All in all, this trip was enjoyable (albeit quite exhausting as well,) but it will definitely be a treasured memory for those who went.
