The winners get to ski a day with the BC Ski Team in Sun Peaks at the Mega-Camp in April 2023! The trophies remain at the respective club for one year until the next AAC U16 challenge.

The AAC started ten years ago, when coaches Jordan Williams (National SkiX Team) and Tamara Schaupp (Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club) joined forces to create an exciting and challenging fitness event that tests all important fitness components in an engaging way. A challenging and demanding sport, both physically and psychologically, alpine ski racing has become an increasingly more difficult with changing equipment. Therefore, good fitness in all its spheres: agility, endurance, power, speed and coordination, is the key to success in ski racing. With the AAC challenge, courses and circuits set up by Tamara and Jordan challenge the U16s fitness by encompassing all spheres.

As alpine ski racing is an expensive sport, the AAC is a free event for all participants. Thank you to Tamara and Jordan, sponsors, and coach volunteers for their time, effort, and contribution in making the AAC possible for all U16 athletes!
